Are there any practical benefits of going with the H87 version vs. the B85 version? The only difference that I can see is 2 additional USB 3.0 ports on the H87 version. If I went with the B85 I'd have 4 total USB 3.0 ports, which is plenty considering I don't own any device that can take advantage of it yet. Basically, I'm saying additional USB 3.0 ports is not reason enough for me to spend extra $$.

Currently, the B85 mobo is $24 cheaper on Newegg. Can anybody with a little more expertise than me let me know if there would be any advantages with going with the H87 version? I'm not interested in overclocking at the moment, so please don't try and talk me into the Z87 version :) My future system will have an i7 with a GTX 660 and will be used primarilly for photo editing and gaming.

The B85 probably is the better option for your requirements. The H87 chipset provides support for Intel Rapid Storage Technology 12 and Intel Smart Response Technology, but they are not useful if you install a single SSD or Hard disk.
