Hello, I am having an issue when I try to boot my PC with its ram on XMP mode. For the past year I had been using my 32gb 1866 at 1333 and I finally decided to do something about it, I turned XMP to get to 1866. Now about 75% of the time I Launch my PC I get overclock failed - press F1. The 25% of the time my that my PC starts up I get weird things happening like USB devices disconnecting such as my external hard drive every few seconds and then it comes back. I'm going to assume that its power related and from there I'm wondering if my PCs PSU cant handle it. Heres a list of specs off the top of my head.
Mobo: Asus sabertooth Z77
GPU: 2x GTX 670 4gb SC sli
Ram: 4x8gb 1866.
CPU: i7 3770k
PSU : Seasonic 760w
2x 1tb HDD
1x samsung 830 256gb SSD
Crap tonne of USB devices.
(Nothing is overclocked besides the RAM)
So I think I found the problem and want to know if buying a new PSU will allow me to OC my RAM - plus my CPU an GPU because they aren't currently overclocked, And fix the problem I am having.
