Just bought a sapphire 7870 xt boost from newegg and the first thing i noticed after installing it that whenever it boots up there is a was blotchy rainbow dot filled square. After it boots up the dots go away and the card works just fine. Should i keep the card or return it? Will newegg replace/take a return just because of the dots on boot up? Im just worried that the dots are a sign that its a dud and the whole card will die out in a couple of months. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you think there's a problem, return it to newegg immediately. In case it get worst. It's better to get a new one :)

It sounds like you have an "artifact" and those are usually signs of a defective card. It's quite possible it will fail in the near future.
