So I see a lot of people saying they have a good OC on their 3570k using the 212evo. What I don't understand is that they say they are getting temps around 60c full load with a high OC. At stock speeds, i hit 65c. I have 5 good case fans and an ambient temp of 25c (78f). so what's wrong here? using arctic silver 5. placed a drop in the center and made sure the heatsink is pressed and screwed tight.

There is NOTHING wrong with 65C. It may help if you tell us the OC level you have? And general system specs. Keep in mind that the EVO is a cooler that scales better as temps increase.

Hell, I get to 83C @ 4.7GHz. So you should not be complaining...

65 Celcius degree at stock clock doesn't seem low, assuming he has all the fans blowing air in the right direction. Or it's just bad luck that his 3570k isn't a good one.

True it is high at stock. Kinda misread that part.

stock speed. And i've cleaned it and reapplied the paste and it doesn't help. I have 4 120mm fans and a 200mm fan so its not airflow.

What are the odds it could be a bad sensor? im using hwmonitor. I know this is a bad comparison, but my gtx 670 is stupidly high overclocked and i never break 70c with it. At stock, i never even break 60c. I have a maximus v gene board.
