So i have recently put together my second PC build I shall start with listing what i have so far.
-ASRock X79 Extreme3 LGA 2011
-Intel Core i7 3930K
-4GBx2 G.SKILL Trident DDR3 2400
-Kingston HyperX 240GB
-Thermaltake Water 2.0 Cooling kit
-Thermaltake 850W PSU
-Zalman Z9 U3
So i am wondering what i should do for a video card set up. I originally planned to go for SLI but am having second guesses about weather or not it will be cost effective. So i am weighing my options out with an approximate budget of $300-$400. I know that the rest of the 700 series lineup is around the corner. So should i
1)wait for the 760 TI and purchase it and later down the road get another.
2)purchase a cheaper card and go SLI sooner.
3)Skip SLI all together and maybe fork out a little more then i want to spend
So i am mainly wondering do I
Purchase new 700 lineup mid ground and SLI in semi near future
Purchase 2 600 or 500 series and SLI off the bat
toss big bucks on one card now wait till i run it into the ground and replace it entirely
Games i play
-Tera
-BF3
-Dota 2 ( i know anything i spend over $150 on will play this)
Games i will be playing in the future
-Bless (Korean MMORPG with heavy Graphics)
-BF4
Any other suggestions outside of my three main ideas will still be taken into consideration although i am not a big fan of ATI Radeon. because of large power consumption for performance, driver issues, heat (linked to high power consumption im sure), and bad past experiences.
