Is it true that the rog board have metal armor while the tuf one is plastic? Also if the armor is metal wont it be very expensive(like P8Z77-V Premium),even more than the extreme board? At high prices, wont it be wiser to get a 3930K and a P9X79 LE?Asus is making TUF like their budget niche products, for those who cannot afford the ROG series. Now the TUF series lost its uniqueness IMO.

The new Sabertooth Z87 now has a new designed set of Thermal Armor. If you wonder what that is, it is the heat plastic shield on top, meant to direct air flow and keep the motherboard's components protected and better cooled. New though is a backplate that secures the board against bending and bowing when installing expansion. The Sabertooth Z87 has been designed to deliver “rigorously-tested TUF cooling and durability” and utilize high-durability components such as Japan-made 10K Black Metallic capacitors, which support 20% greater extreme temperature tolerance and five times the lifespan of generic capacitors used in other motherboards, according to ASUS. TUF boards like the Z87 sabertooth has a "shield" that's mostly useful to protect from dust if you place your system on a benchtable. Other than that, the M6F is better. Either it's wise of not getting 3930k + P9Z79 LE or not depends on the actual use of a person. LGA2011 combo will most likely run at stock clock only, while Z87 M6F + 4670/4770k offers better OC-ing ability and high-end features that are gamer-exclusive.

Seems MVIF is still the better option...

Not sure if taken from an ad directly, or just a die hard Asus fan :p
