Hi, I am upgrading from 4gb ddr2 ram and a c2q q6600.
Needless to say, anything is better than this, but I was wondering if there are any bottlenecks with this system?
i7 4770k
GTX Titan
16 gb ddr3 ram
800 watt psu
Asus z87 pro

I can get the ram/mobo/cpu for 400 pounds which I think is a good deal.

Thanks

If you want to look at pure frame rates, the 690 often has better performance than a titan, and it's at the same price range. The Titan excels more at multi-GPU builds.

The 690 is the more powerful card, but it is a pair of GTX680s on one card with internal SLi and you get all the baggage that SLi bring with it. You also have the fun that the 690 vents half of it's hot air back into your case.

Personally, I went with the Titan because it's a single gpu card and it vents all it's hot air out the back of the computer.

If you're having problems with budget (the Titan is an expensive card whatever way you look at it) I suggest you look to the GTX780 (a cut down Titan) or the slightly lesser GTX770 (an overclocked GTX680).
