Hello, 3 months ago i purchased a asus cm1745 desktop from best buy and just started upgrading it. I encounter a problem though when I installed a new graphics card which was a sapphire DualX OC 1gb 7790 (used to be 7470) it displayed no picture it did not even show the display for booting. I said "Man I screwed up!" Well after a bit of researching I discovered I needed a better power supply (500w). I went out and bought myself a psu (700w) and still it did not show an image, but when i reinstalled my Hd Radeon 7470 it worked perfectly fine and no problem?
The fans and everything seem to be working but i'm getting no display when using 7790.
I uninstalled the drivers, I tried the hdmi from motherboard and everything yet nothing works. The gpu fits into the PCi slot and I have the card directly connected to the psu. I have no idea if its defective. I purchased it from new egg.
My computer also has integrated graphics yet i dont know if that could be the problem.

you need to find out what motherboard you are using and go to the vendors website for that mobo ASUS and go to the downloads section and download the specific bios for your operating system and install it.

use the link to find out the model of your motherboard download and install then run the program and go to the motherboard section and it will tell you everything you need even the bios version you are using now.

all bios updates have a risk if you loose power during the update it will kill the motherboard apart from that should go smooth without any problems.

just before you do the update can you get a friend to try the new gpu in their system just to be sure if it fails then it the gpu that is faulty and should be exchanged by the retailer
