I've just recently put together my first build, but when i plug it in and turn it on everything lights up and the fans run.. for about 5 seconds, the mother board flashes 4F, 62 and 9A before everything just shuts off.. whats causing this? I've tried unplugging and plugging in different cables, I've done a power test on my PSU but still over and over again the same thing happens
all my parts are:
Intel i5-3570K
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard
ASUS GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II OC 2GB
Corsair Vengeance CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3
Corsair Force Series GS 128GB SSD
Seagate 3.5" Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001 SATA3 7200rpm 64MB Cache Hard Disk
LG Blu-Ray Combo Optical Drive
CoolerMaster Centurion 6 Case
Silverstone Strider 850W Gold Evolution ST85F-G-E PSU

i also tried taking everything out and putting it back in and then i realized that the ATX 12V 8/4 pin cables that came with my PSU actually don't match up with the motherboard that i've bought because both the motherboard and the PSU need a cssc, sccs cable end and the cables don't fit properly (i hope this all makes sense i'm a noob with computers) so basically the cables didn't fit properly when they had been put in the first time.
Could that be the reason for the computer not running properly? or is my mother board faulty or..?
all help is appreciated if you could please give my any help or tips or tell me what the problem is it would be much appreciated
i hope I've explained it well enough.

What do you mean the psu cables don't match up with the motherboard? CSSC, SCCS??

Sounds like the cpu is overheating. Is the heatsink properly attached? Did you removed the plastic cover from the thermal paste?

Heatsink is attached fine plastic removed definetly haha
the ends of the cable, one is a 8 pin that goes square circle circle square etc the other is 2 four pins and they aren't the same
but both my motherboard and my PSU require the Square circle circle square.. etc if that makes sense so i can put the 2 four pins in but they don't fit properly
