I finally got my build going, everything works as it should. I installed my brand new omega claro halo xt but haven't managed getting decent sound out of it. It seems that when I set up speakers i can hear them but the sound is too low to hear, and that's the only time i actually hear them. Music that i play from my computer i can not hear at all but from youtube sound coming out but as weak as it did when i was setting up my speakers. I tried deleting previous audio drivers that came with motherboard but that didn't help. Now i don't know what to do, the sound is on max, speakers were working perfectly prior to installing the audio card. I think something has to do with windows not recognizing properly the card. Please any suggestions?

I installed VLC it plays my music but again sound is really low even at all volumes max. I should mention I have Logitech 5.1 system. I am able to connect all 5 speakers to the additional card but haven't figured out how to connect sub to it.

It seems thats its not the claro halo xt that is causing problem but something wrong with my hardware, i have cracking sound from onboard audio now. And as i read there are many people that are experiencing same problem. Basically all i get is cracking sound now, i tried looking for things that would cause such problem, so i moved router away, updated audio driver, updated chipset, and now considering updating bios. Also i should mention that i dont have dedicated video card at the moment and perhaps that might be a problem, i dont know :((( The last thing i wanna do is rma the motherboard.

Under sound in device manager there is Realtek and Also in Display audio which i never had before in my previous 6 computers. I tried disabling intel one but it does nothing. Also i tried changing frequencies in my realtek audio settings. Tried every one of them no luck then changed to default which was studio something.

I've read just a second ago that sound begins to crack only from the point where logo starts to unveil, but before there are no cracking sounds present. I will try to grab one this weekend. Some people were able to solve their problem via magically disappeared. Ill keep on searching, i think this is more of driver issue than hardware.

So i downloaded VLC turned on one my movies and raised volume to 200% and it is acceptable but i have to sit close and pay close attention. Now i just have to figure out how to raise volume so i can hear well.

Thanks for your effort, also i should mention if source is not of quality such as video from youtube or any other mp3 sound accompanies with cracking as if there is not enough power to drive my speakers from sound card or sound signal is too weak therefore when sound card trying to amplify sound it adds additional cracking. But its not cracking i heard before its the type you hear when you increase volume on very crappy speakers. Such sound can also be found on radio when signal isn't good, that kind of cracking. I dont know what the hell is wrong with my system. It seems that i have tried everything, yesterday i spent whole day researching. At this point im thinking of selling motherboard and getting a new one.

One other important detail, when i went to sound-> speakers->advanced i changed format to CD Quality and only then i was able to hear sound and if i chose for example first studio quality from the top then sounds fades to the point where i cant hear it at all.

Wait, really?

... that means that you were trying to play a format higher than the amps in the speakers could decode. That 's why they weren't working! :p

I've never had problem playing those files through my speakers before. Don't think it's speakers. Perhaps motherboard is indeed at fault. Read my other thread that I created in motherboard section. Sorry cant provide you with link I'm on my phone right now.
