Hi, it seems dell 660s desktop has only 220 watts PSU (power supply unit), my question is , is this power supply really enough for a desktop computer? of course I agree dell being a standard company they will know how much is the minimum power needed for a desktop to run, but i am asking this so that i reassure myself that this paltry 220 watts is indeed enough, i am worried especially what will happen after a year or couple of years or so when there is generally the normal wear and tear with the battery and its efficiency and wattage decreases, will the battery still continue to provide adequate power supply to the computer even after a year or two? thanks!

Solution
220W is plenty for that unit. Your power requirements would not be raised by much unless you decide to attempt to squeeze a graphics card in there. Should you decide to attempt to add a graphics card, you'll want to change the PSU then also. If not looking to add any hardware, you'll be fine with the 220W unit

I can add few thoughts, with 660s Dell started using new form factor power supply, and it is unclear which one will physically fit, it is not TFX anymore, more like IPX, I think.
You current PSU can run at most 7750 low profile card, Sapphire would be the best choice in this case.
This is about it for upgrades for Inspiron 660s, I can think of.
