I need to bring down the temp's on my 2x 5770's. One of them had the fan start failing so I had to replace it shortly after.

I am wondering If it is safe to do this, http://www.flickr.com/photos/64047525@N08/sets/72157628978202319/

The fact that it doesnt cover anything but the gpu worries me a little, as I do not know how hot the ram gets.

Currently my gpus are running between 85c and 105c Usually about 5c Apart from each other (The one with the replacement fan is a bit colder even though it has all the hot air from the other video card being blown onto it)

Is it safe to cool my gpus with the watercooling mod? or no. Let me know what you think, As I do not intend to go all out watercooling Yet. I honestly dont have the money or the patience to set up full water cool build.

Honestly, its is really not worth the effort to cool that card. I agree that it would be much wiser to invest your money in a card that has a better cooling solution. DIY cooling solutions aren't that easy to do. A single card set-up will be much better as well.

Im planning to crossfire again later on I just want better cooling since theres no airflow in my case. And that will continue to be the case when i upgrade my computer. This is why i am wondering if currently this would be a safe setup

Problem is I got no where to put the fans... not without drilling new holes for them, at least for the moment.

I will ask again though, as I dont want all this other crap, Its not worth it etc etc. Is It SAFE to Put these water cooling units Onto Radeon 5770's Without having a full out water block to cover the whole card?
