my pc has been randomly freezing on me, no error messages no sounds. it just hard locks at random moments.

after doing some research I've found that it could be ram issues. so i ran memtest for 8hours while i was at work and it completed 4 passes with no errors. i then began switching around my hardrives to see if they could be causing any issues, but to no avail.

now after further digging around people have mentioned that if the ram in your pc is not being fed enough juice it can cause the pc to randomly freeze. i have google searched the ram i have but i can't find how many volts it needs.

my system defaulted my sticks to 1.5v but i've seen other number thrown around such as 1.65v all the way to 2.1v.

how do i find out how many volts my ram needs, because this seems like the next thing on my list of potential culprits.

my ram: 4x A-DATA Gaming Series PC3-12800 (1600MHz) 8GB Kit
