Okay, so my rig is about 8 months old now, everything was bought at the same time and the computer did not have a single problem for about 3-4months then the No signal problem started

The problem at 1st happened really rarely maybe once a week or so but it gradually became worst, I would say maybe once per day. It also happens sometimes when I shake my computer or even when im just browsing the web. But most of the time happen when im playing games.

Sometimes my computer would show me Mode not supported instead of No signal so most of the time replugging in the HDMI cable would solve the problem but if it shows me No signal i would have to either force restart my computer. When I do force restart mt computer either 2 things will happen, it would either turn on without a problem(besides showing me something along the line of 'windows did not shut down properly, how would you like to start your computer in save mode blah blah blah') or it would just show me the no signal problem while the computer is still on (fans moving) and I would have to wait alittle while and try again or reseat my GPU. The other thing that works sometimes is that i would shake my computer (ironic i know ) and it would just go back to normal.

When the no signal problem happens my audio will go all crazy like ' dehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh' and my GPU would sometimes go max fan speed

What I have done so far to 'fix' this problem with no success is to redownload my drivers.

Anyone knows any idea why this is happening or which component might me causing the problem??

Thanks!

I did use driver sweeper at 1st, reinstalled the drivers 2 times both had issues then later tried the official amd tool. both had issues. Im currenly using a samsung TV screen as my monitor it has been working farely well so i doubt i there is problem with the screen.

Could you try the gpu in another slot? Maybe it bended and broke the port it's a fairly heavy card. Was it mounted proberly? I'm afraid it's a hardwar issue with either you motherboard or your GPU, but i suspect the motherboard as it's fairly cheap and not as sturdy as the expensive ones.

I did try the GPU on both slot, happened on both. I did send my GPU to my retailers and they said it was fine when the stressed tested it for a day. It just happened 5 mins ago , showed no signal then i shaked my rig alittle and a screen with vertical lines. Something like this appeared http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=34qpsnr&s=6 then after alittle while of blinking it auto restarted. Would you say the cause of this problem could highly be the MOBO? Or could there be other problems?

EDIT: My neighbour did give me a computer that isnt working because there isnt a HDD in it, I was wondering if I could use it to test if its the GPU problem. The thing is, will it boot if i use my HDD from my rig>?

Thanks! I guess I'll put my 7970 in the old computer and see what happens, how would u suggest I go around doing this? Do I shake the rig and see if it shows no signal like how it will happen to mine?
