I have a take ms ext hdd(it's a normal 3.5" hdd put inside a box that converts it to usb).It suddenly stopped working one day.It wouldn't format.Wouldn't do anything.99% of the 1 tb memory was taken on it.No important data, though.I started HDD regenerator 70 hours ago and it's at 700000 bad sectors and still counting. It's jsut counting them, not repairing.About 1 bad sector is counted every 0.7 seconds.780100 MB are scanned. There's 200000 MB left.At the pace it's currently going it,it's going to end in about 3 more days...Should i use some other software to try ro repair it or say bb to it.Btw,i deleted the partition using disk utility,so it's 931 GB of raw data now. Can't format it back to NTFS though...

If your data are important (you say not), then you should avoid any utility (eg Spinrite or HDD Regenerator) that thrashes your drive. This is because you will accelerate the failure of any weak heads. Instead you should clone your drive, sector by sector, as quickly as possible using a tool that understands how to work around bad sectors(eg ddrescue).
