5 beeps post

I started up my computer and got 5 beeps post and that means there is a cpu failure. The computer boots into windows completely and after a few seconds blue screens and restarts. Any ideas of what could be the cause of the problem, is it software, hardware or is the cpu actually broken?

Did you have an overclock on it? Restore the CMOS yet? Do that first and see if it goes away.

It's the chip that saves bios settings, and you can reset it either in the bios (restore default settings) or with a jumper switch on the motherboard.

after checking the settings i found out that the cause of the 5 beeps in the post was because of having the integrated graphics enabled. Do you have any idea why this would be?

Hmm no that's strange, so if you turn that on it gives that error? Maybe you have a cpu without igpu?

i have the i7 3770k with hd400 graphics and when i turn on the integrated graphics as my main source of graphics i get the 5 beep post error. I do have igpu but it wont let me use it. I have a hd 7970 which i use instead so it doesn't bother me but i was just curious as to why i was getting the error.
