so i go to contol panel-all control panel items-recovery-advanced recovery methods. and when i click reinstall windows it says "windows could not find required files. if you have a windows installation disk, click yes and you will be prompted to insert the disc later. if you have a recovery disk that came with your computer, check the manufacture's instructions for use." i do have the installation disc so i click yes and nothing happens. i dont know if theres another way to reinstall windows, but i cant do it this way

Boot from the windows disc and start the install.
