With all of the recent benchmarks, I cannot find one that puts up benchmarks of the 580SLI vs a 770SLI or 780 SLI.
What are everyones thoughts? My local tiger direct has both the 770 and 780 in stock, I currently have 2 EVGA GTX 580's that I got about 2 years or more ago now I guess - thinking it is time for an upgrade.
What sorta pisses me off is the 650 price tag for the 780... The two games I play the most are BF3 and Crysis 3 at 1080P (and quake live ) With that said, from what I can tell, the 780 only gets 15 or so more FPS in BF3, and only 6 more FPS in Crysis 3. I am looking at ~15 bucks per fps if I were to go with the 780, and I am not sure it is worth it.
I know alot of people will say a single GTX 780 is just fine for 1080p, but I disagree. When I had a 60hz monitor that may have been the case, but once I got a 120hz monitor, it was night and day as far as how 'buttery smooth' everything ran, assuming my 580's could produce the FPS close to 120 or higher. When it drops down to the 70-80fps range, I can def tell a difference. I may be nit picking, but you get the point.
