On my media computer I have two drives for CDs, and DVD's and I have noticed I installed the drives so they were both MASTERS, so I re-did them I made on Master, and other slave. Now that is done, in my computer it is detecting that the drive is visible to the computer, but even with a movie in it it is not recognizing any media. I have reset the computer, uninstalled the drive and reinstalled it, still nothing worked. I even went as far as replacing the drive with another one. Still nothing. The drives are IDE and they are both on the same channel. I need help with this because it I am running out of ideas on how to fix it. Thanks, Patrick

When you changed the drives and made one a slave drive did you change the jumper on it from master to slave? Did both drives work when set as Master drives? Is the IDE cable a Cable Select (CS) cable or are the connections labeled as master and slave?
