im tinkerign around the Nvidia control panel and there is a clock speed option. along with memory clock. what exactly are these? will putting both of these at the maximum be harmful? the minimum graphic clock is 549 but the max is 1098. The memory minimum is 751 while the max is 3604. so what exactly are these and what settign should i have them at if i play a lot of modern games?
Thanks

That would be overclocking. You can find scads of Youtube videos that teach you how to overclock. If you start sliding stuff to maximum, bad things can happen.

As for playing modern games, no idea. We would have to actually know what GPU you have to answer that question. Generally speaking, overclocks eke out more performance, but they do not suddenly make tiers of unplayable games into comfortable playable games.
