General Question: Is latency affected by how many connections a router has?

Hi!
I have a router (DIR-615) with DDWRT. It is connected to my Bell modem.

Now let's say I have 4 computers: 2 which are connected directly to the modem and the other 2 to the router. When I connect to a specific server on my PC, I average 80ms ping.

If I connect all 4 computers to the router (Nothing but the router is connected to the modem) will I still average 80ms ping on my PC?

I'm trying to figure out if I should dedicate my router for gaming to get the best latency while my other computers connect to the modem. Does this make a difference?
Thanks!

Just having things connected will not change anything. If all the computers had heavy network and file transfer traffic, the ping times may go up, very little. 80ms is pretty high ping for an internal network though, I just pinged my work gateway and got a 2ms return time.

If you connect to the modem or router does matter for gaming because all the traffic to the internet will still go though the modem.
