Screen displays "no input"

My PC will not boot up and screen displays no input.
Running XP Pro. Reconnected all cables-taken out battery for 30 mins. Power unit fan runs so does processor fan. Thats the limit of my knowledge? any body any ideas I could try?

1. Use the monitor's on screen display menu to select the correct input.

2. Make sure that the cables are correctly connected to appropriate ports and GFX source is enabled in BIOS

Try monitor on another pc or laptop. Try your pc on another monitor.
Older pc it can happen that a leg in the ps Fails. When it does the fans can still spin but the CPU won't post.
