Hey as suggested in the title I am building a PC but I am feeling super nervous! I have watched and read as many tutorials on building PC's as I can and still I am afraid I might fry the parts or I might do something wrong. Secondly I have the motherboard and CPU the rest will arrive either tomorrow or Tuesday. But because I had the CPU laying around I decided to install it for some piece of mind. I put the motherboard and CPU in the anti-static bag and closed the box. My problem is that I am worried that it might break. So I ask any of you experts to help me, thanks :)

I do feel sorry for you. I built my pc like a week ago (with my dad's help) and it was hell to get the hyper 212 evo. The retention bracket was probably harder than any other part of the pc. I personally just occasionally touched...

Maybe I am just too overcautious :??:, but come to think of it I am more worried about installing a cooler master 212 evo and it involves holding the MB a lot so I am afraid of shocking the motherboard, how would I go about installing it without a anti-static wrist band? :(

I do feel sorry for you. I built my pc like a week ago (with my dad's help) and it was hell to get the hyper 212 evo. The retention bracket was probably harder than any other part of the pc. I personally just occasionally touched the side of my case which was sitting on carpet (not ideal) and I'm pretty sure I didn't fry any parts as I'm using it now so Iwouldn't really worry about killing your parts. Also before you install anything get the backplate of the hyper 212 evo on the motherboard before anything because if you forget that (like I did!) it's a massive hassle to rebuild and install everything. If have any more questions, ask away!

Love your comedic responses :p, getting another person to hold the back plate :sarcastic:, dont think I would trust anyone to do that in my family.

Exactly, the hyper 212 evo is a monster. You need at least 3 arms or you're going to have a very hard time.

edit: Good luck with the heatsink! What me and my dad did with the retention bracket was to completely disassemble the bracket, have one person hold the heatsink on the CPU and then build the retention bracket piece by piece. That was the easiest way personally as it's EXTREMELY hard to fit the heatsink on.
