I bought a TP-Link Wireless Wi-fi router, finding out later that it doesn't have a USB port. I use TATA photon+ with my desktop to connect to internet.
Can anybody please tell me how do I use my Photon+ with the router to get Wi-fi network.

You don't. Get another router that supports USB data modems, something like http://www.cradlepoint.com/products/small-business-home-office-routers/mbr95-wireless-4g-3g-router

You should contact your service provider to see if they have a recommended router to use.

First you need to connect your usb modem like poton or other 3g deta card. after successfully connect go to your network and sharing center and go to local area network properties and select Tcp/ivp4 setting and change to following ip address.

IP address : 192.168.137.1
subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
Default gateway : 192.168.137.101

Use the following DNS server address : 192.168.137.1

In last go to usb dongle properties and go to the sharing setting and share this connection with LAN (Local Area Network)

Share it and enjoy wifi over the router and you may connect no. of computer with router through LAN network cable.

Enjoy .... write me feedback @ sahilsamd@gmail.com and like my page "shiny Sahil" @facebook

Hello Hang-the-9

Can you please suggest that in case a USB port in missing from the router, can one try and connect the Internet USB dongle to the router via a USB to RJ 45 cable? Will that help? Or the only solution is to buy another Router which has an in built USB port. Further, How would one know in the second case that after buying a new router the Internet USB dongle connection would work with that router? Appreciate your comments.

No, you can't attach a USB port to a router that does not support it. You can contact the vendor of the cell modem dongle to see which routers are known to be compatible with their device. While many will work fine with many USB cell modems, some don't work well together.
