Upgrading from a Core i7-920

Hi,

I asked earlier about upgrading a video card, now I'm considering a CPU. The board is ASUS Rampage II Extreme LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131352).

The current CPU is this one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115202).

Can you recommend a compatible CPU that would be a good upgrade?

My budget is probably less than $200.

Get a good CPU cooler and overclock that CPU. It's much cheaper and more effective than buying a new CPU for that motherboard. An I7 920 should be able to easily hit 3.6Ghz. If you want to push the CPU you could likely achieve 4+Ghz.

It already has a XIGMATEK Dark Knight II SD1283 Night Hawk Edition CPU Cooler (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233029) - do you think that will support some OC?
