Hi guys,

I have 850$ and I would like to spend them on a gaming PC. But I'm having issues choosing what is best for me. I play a lot and I'm buy the comp because BF4 will be out soon. 2 years ago I bought a comp with i5-2500k, 560ti, 8gb DDR3 and I did NOT have any problems playing BF3 at extreme graphics and that's exactly what I want from my new PC.

So I got a few things I gotta tell you:

- there's no need for a shiny expensive case (I'm over those lol), just one that has audio and usb in the front
- there's no need for a HDD with more than 500gb (maybe 1TB if meets the price range)
- I would like a Intel CPU
- I was very satisfied with my 560ti so in case there's something REALLY good and meets my price range from Radeon, I might change my mind.
-850$ is w/o the monitor, ofc

I would like to buy it from newegg (or if you have other websites you consider better, please shoot).

Thank you for all your help!

Later edit: I do not need windows btw, got my own :)

Is there any particular reason you can't just upgrade your old PC? A Core i5-2500K is still a very capable processor today. Case, hard drive, power supply, memory etc. should still be fine as well. The graphics card is really the only thing I would consider upgrading, and it's not like the GTX 560 Ti is even that bad. But a GTX 770 (or Radeon HD 7970) would certainly be a worthy upgrade.

You could also consider adding an SSD, if you don't already have one.

Thanks for the answer. I moved from Romania to US and I had to sell my old PC so there is no possible upgrade :)

Why should I buy a SSD? I didn't for my last gaming PC and I didn't have any problems? I kind of see it like a waste of money, or I'm wrong?

This is what I got until now, tried to make it myself.

Cheers, brother

I went with the FX 8350 because BF3 seems to favor it more than Intel CPUs.

If you give us all your specs maybe we can reuse a few things if you can't reuse something I would go with this:

AMD FX-8350(or get an 8320 and oc it to 4ghz, saves you 40,-)
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0
Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB 1600 cl9
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200rpm
PowerColor Radeon HD 7870 XT
Corsair 200R
SeaSonic S12II 620W 80 PLUS Bronze
total 845,-

The fx cpu will perform the same or slightly better on then the i5 bf3(and I think bf4)
In other games that utilize only 1 or 2 cores the i5 will perform better.

I think you should keep your i5 and pair it with a asrock z77 extreme 4 so you can save very much money and get a gtx 770 this will perform like a champ at a total of 830,- (when you buy everyting except the cpu and the intel mobo and a gtx 770)
If you have good ram 1333mhz cl9 minimum you save another 60,-
When you're oc'ing the hd 7970 is better but I would go for the gtx 770 because nvideas' drivers are better.
