So I have a Deathadder 3.5g it has started to act strange.
I was playing Metro LL and the mouse functions fine, but I exited Metro to play some Bioshock. Im on the menu and noticed the mouse was jumping very noticeably and was unplayable everytime the cursor jumped the screen would freeze, sort of like lag spike cpu spike, some sort of spike when moving the mouse.

So pluged in an old mouse and Bioshock was working fine.
So thought it was just a weird Bioshock thing, So I tried Alan Wake same thing the mouse movements are jumping.

Tried Dues ex HR same thing cursor jumping while moving.

The game would function fine if using another mouse or using the Deathadder but not moving it, But if you move it the game would lag and the cursor would jump.

Yet the Deathadder works fine on Metro, and some other games.

So did some looking on good old Google I uninstalled the driver and uninstalled all HID and all USB controllers in divice manager and reinstalled them. Nothing. So repeated and reinstalled Graphics drivers, Nothing.

So thought the mouse could be f****ed so I reinstalled the firmware, but still did not fix anything.

I just dont understand, Why is the mouse working fine for normal computer work browsing net etc etc and working in some games while freaking out in others?

If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated.

Ok I seem to have fixed it by lowering the polling rate to 125 out of 1000 in Synapsis 2.
Still do not understand why it happened all of a sudden, and now the mouse feels kind of slugish but atleast it is playable.

Anybody any idea why the Polling rate would be effecting my games so much? it has always been at 1000 why do I need to change it to the lowest all of a sudden?

well i do know that synapse 2.0 is buggy as hell.
its better to use drivers if you have an old mouse that they still have drivers for.

personally i use mine without drivers at all (just use the windows mouse drivers).

your problem sounds strange....did you try different usb ports? what about a usb to ps2 adapter. ps2 bypasses polling so your polling settings shouldnt affect anything.
