Hey guys, I know you get asked these kinds of things a lot, but I didn't see one for my situation.
I am on a budget. About $500 total, and Windows 7 is $100, so I have about $400 on hardware, but I can budge a little bit on that. All prices are US.
I found that I have three main options, and I wanted to know which you think would be best.
On this build I will be doing more intense gaming, as well as audio, photo, and video editing.
Option One: Use an AMD 5800K ($130) or 6800K APU ($150) with decent Radeon Graphics built onto the chip and both using socket FM2 until I have enough for a decent GPU such as a GTX 650 TI.
Option Two: Get a budget Intel CPU such as a Pentium G850 ($80) with Socket LGA 1155 for upgradability to an i5 and get something like a Radeon 7770 ($100).
Option Three: Use an AMD CPU such as an FX 4100 ($100) or a Phenom 2 X4 965 ($100) both using socket AM3+ and a GPU such as a Radeon 7770 ($100). This will allow me to upgrade to an FX 8350, which, correct me if I'm wrong, is the best AM3+ CPU.
Option 2 and 3 allow for more upgradability, but option 1 will be cheaper right off the bat, and may out perform an FX 4100. If you give an answer, please explain why, not just "Intel rocks! AMD sucks!" I am open to anything, although I would prefer not to stray too far.
I also plan on using a 430 Watt Corsair CX430 with 80+ bronze. If this will not suffice, please let me know.
Thanks a lot!
