im looking for the best mobo for the fx-8350. i currently am looking at getting this one: http://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-GA-990FXA-UD3-990FX-SATA...
the things that i like most about this one is the ability to use usb devices while the computer is offline, the usb 3.0 usability, and the relatively low price. im open to any thing as long as the upgrade is there.
Within this price range, according to Toms' review : http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/990fx-motherboard-r... , the ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0 won this war. However, this and the Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 are almost indentical to each other in terms of performance. So if you prefer the utilities and the styling on Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 more then just grab it. You won't regret this purchase.
I have that set up; Board is ok, if I was to do it again I would spend a few more and get the UD5. I say this because the northbridge heats up on my board. I did reapply TG and positioned a fan near it. I don't have any usb 3 devices but it's there.
