I recently upgraded my GTX 650 to a GTX 660 OC, and am now looking to drop some money in a new mobo and CPU.

As of right now my rig specs:
ASRock H55M/USB3 Mobo
Intel Core i5 750 @ 2.67Ghz
8GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX660 OC
650 Watt power supply

And I was looking at these:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002G1YPH0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007KTY4A6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

My question : Is this an optimal choice for gaming? And should I consider the i5-4670k over the i5-3570k due to LGA1155 being a dead socket? Or should I get the new i5 CPU that dropped this month and get that with the corresponding mobo? Or lastly should I stick with the CPU for a while and just get the 212+ and OC it?

Well, you might want to consider getting the new Generation of intel CPU'S. Recently the Haswell series intel CPU'S came out.. so you can go with that for a small performance increase from the 3570k. If you decide to get the i5 4670k, be sure to get a LGA 1150 motherboard.
