Can someone confirm if this CPU cooler will work with the new socket 1150 CPUs?

Also, is the newer R2 much better than the R1 that I'm considering getting?

If you get that it will fit the 1150, but I think you'll need to contact the manufacurer and they will send you a free 1150 bracket if it's not included.. My hyper 212 came with an 1150. I believe the only difference with the new and old one is that the new one has slightly more efficient fans?

That's what I've heard as well.

I can't find a phone number for Cooler Master on their site to contact them about the 1150 bracket (I want to ring them in advance to save time)...I'm in the UK.

For the record, I got an official answer today from Cooler Master:

"Hi, yes, LGA 1150/1155/1156 USE SAME BRACKET, THANKS!"

I thought someone said I may need a different bracket for s1150?

I just put together a system using a 212 EVO and a Haswell chip. The 212 EVO was sitting around for about six months before I used it, so I know for a fact that it didn't have an updated bracket.

So, yes, the 212 EVO works with any Haswell without updating the bracket. When adjusting the retaining clip, use the center position, which is the same position used for 1155 and 1156.
