Hello,
I just finished installing a 920 water cooler to a i7 4770k. It was my first build so I screwed up a bit.
The backplate was misaligned so what happened is I attached the copper place with thermal paste to the cpu but then had to unattach it. Obviously the thermal paste got a bit messed up (pointy spikes because of the seperation). I continued anyway with the same paste and screwed the the plate very tightly. (hopefully there will be no air bubbles)
Since I am compleatly new to this stuff I would greatly appreciate some help.
1. is the situation with the thermal paste ok? Should I attempt to clean it and reapply it?
2. What are good temps for a 4770k at stock at load? What about oc temps?
I have a MSI mobo with click bios 4 and the cpu temps in bios are at 46 to 49 celcius. The dual 120 fans are running at 600 rpm and are inaudible.
3. Are these good temps for this cpu and cooler when in BIOS?
