I am unable to fit my xfx pro 650w edition semi modular psu into the NZXT 410 case, there is a piece of metal thats about 3-5 cm long sticking out that is pushing out the psu from fitting into place :(

I too suggest on top.

Surprised to hear the XFX was difficult to install. The 410 is a 5 star case.

Maybe he means the cables?
Looking at the 410 and comparing it to my N200, I think the 410 had more than enough space to install stuff XD

Did you post here asking for build advice, as well? If you had, I would have told you to avoid that case - in terms of ease of build, it's one of the worst ones I've seen in a very, very long time. I can promise you that it's usually a lot easier than what you're going through.

That being said, I prefer to have my liquid coolers venting out the top.

In terms of features, yeah. I know two people who have built in it, however, and they've all had trouble with the case. It's good once it's set up, but setting it up sucks.

I really prefer Corsair and CM cases over NZXT and Antec etc.
I just feel that all the CM/Corsair cases are easier to work with :D

But they're much more expensive.

For budget cases, pretty much nothing can beat the amazing nzxt source 210.

However, for higher end cases that are meant to last, I recommend two brands above anything else - Bitfenix and Fractal Design.

i was thinking of buying R4 but the sound proof padding put me off as it stores more heat

I've worked with silent cases, including the R4, quite a bit, and they're my second favorite. (Behind small form factor cases, which are kinda my thing.) They're ideal if you're watercooling. There's nothing better.

That being said, however, heat isn't an issue even if you're air cooling as long as you use graphics cards that don't dump heat back into the case.

Dumping air back into the case, sounds like most GPUs, other than stock ones. This design keeps the GPU cool but the hot air is pushed onto other components.

Personally for performance..love 410. For quietness n decent cooling ...R4. I wish I could get a R4.

There are a couple companies, most notably EVGA, who make improvements on the stock blower design. *(And, of course, there's the blower that nvidia is using as stock on their brand new high-end cards, which is a great cooler.)
