Hello everyone. I plan on buying an EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Superclocked w/ ACX Cooler. I already have an ASUS VG278H monitor.

The graphics card has DVI-D, DVI-I, HDMI and Display-Port connectors while the monitor has DVI-D, HDMI and D-Sub connectors.

I was wondering what the best choice for connecting the two would be for maximum 1080p performance. I would prefer sound as well, but I have external speakers as well as Astros.

Lastly, I will also take any suggestions or advice for a better GTX 780 that is less than $700.

*I also have an Xbox 360 connected to the monitor through HDMI, therefore HDMI can't be an option without a splitter that I can't seem to find.

Thanks in advance for any answers!

DVI-D or DVI-I but not the D-Sub.

Why are you going for the GTX 780? It is a great card, but it is priced $300 more than the GTX 770 or the AMD 7970. Are the few exrtra fps worth the $300? If it is worth the extra $$ then there is no better alternative for a cheaper price. There are "better" alternatives for $1000 +.

Thanks for the reply, Chester. For DVI-I would I just use a DVI cable from the DVI-I output on the card to the DVI-D input on the monitor? How would I do that? Also, is there any advantage to DVI-I compared to DVI-D?

I am going with the GTX 780 merely because I admire its power and it completes my build perfectly. However, I might go with a 770 instead.
