No you should not. Steamy's IPC will be better than Piledriver, but not by a margin that'll make it an upgrade over a 3570K. It will be AM3+ socket almost surely. The Octacore Steamroller cpus might however shine brighter in heavily threaded applications. If it is CAD modelling that you do and are cost conscious to not go for an i7, then alone upgrading to a whole new board and cpu would make sense.

If this is a gaming rig, stick with it and it will see you through another 4 years without breaking a sweat.
