cannot access bluetooth on laptop.

I bought a dell XT2 from ebay a few months ago, and i have been unable to get the system's bluetooth to work. the system is running 8. I have tried the dell driver software but it keeps telling me to turn on the bluetooth switch, but their is no bluetooth switch as far as i can tell. I checked dell and bluetooth comes standard on this system, but the bluetooth does not appear in device manager when i check for it.

In the devices that don't have a physical switch to turn the Bluetooth on or off, there is a key combination that you can press to enable or disable the Bluetooth.

In most Dell laptops, pressing the Fn + F2 keys simultaneously enables/disables the Bluetooth.

If the Bluetooth drivers are missing and Dell drivers fail to work properly, try updating the Windows using Windows Update. Many times this resolves the issue. If it fails, you can download Broadcom Bluetooth Stack which has most appropriate Bluetooth drivers for many devices.

If everything fails, as a last resort you can download the evaluation copy of the Bluesoleil and try using it. In 99.9% cases, Bluesoleil resolves the issue. If it does in your case too...
