~1000 Gaming build, plays all modern games high settings

Hello I am new to building gaming pcs and I want advice on the best bang-for-your-buck $1000 gaming rig that can sufficiently play all modern games and future modern games at 60+ FPS and high settings. I am also interested in overclocking.

-I don't need a monitor
-I do need an OS, so include that

Upgrade the GPU to a HD7950 for that extra 100$ and you;re golden :D

Why aren't you going with haswell though? They are almost the same price and more upgradable in the future with Broadwell coming along on that socket.
