Is it possible to make gaming computer from Mini-ITX system playing on 1680 x 1050 or 1440 x 900 I have read few reviews but way too general for me.
Once I had very old mini HP desktop with very clever design. especially in terms of PSU which was outside the case, more of a charger so I'm sure there is better option then Radeon HD 7750 which was the limit in ones of the reviews.

Any one made some gaming Mini-ITX and how do they perform? or did anyone used CoolerMaster Elite 120 case.

Thanks

I believe right question is to ask what would you cram into Mini ITX case for your gaming.

When building computer one has to choose case, components and coolers/fans. It is also known that most mini itx size motherboards would only come with one lane of PCIE 2.0 And for the resolution you listed any modern GPU card would be enough.

Now, onto solution. It can either be complicated or barely affordable.

Complicated solution would involve cooling for CPU and GPU using aftermarket closed loop watercoolers. While not hard to install on CPU, GPU mounting would need to be customized and ultimately adjusted. That means one watercooler for CPU and another one for GPU.

Barely affordable would be to use normal watercooler block with all different mountings and pipes. Also is complicated.

Or you can just simply cram everything into one case and not overclock. That is going to save you some work.

I've been heavily contemplating converting my rig to a Bitfenix Prodigy based on the fact that I'd like to transport my system. But there are drawbacks I'm finding out - mainly with the coolers and limited expandability. If you can get past those two things mITX does sound like a good option.
