Hi All,

I recently built a PC and have purchased a number of fans and wanted advice on how to set them up.

Here is my build (dont worry I've since sorted the cable mgmt :)

I accidentally purchased another thermal right 140 fan hoping it would fit in the back of the case but it did not. So I have purchased a couple of corsair 120s instead. Then I was thinking Id use the 140 to double up the fans on the heatsink.

Problem is I believe my case is setup to pull in cold air from the back and expel this from the 120 in the front.

So technically I have that initial heatsink fan the wrong way round right?

And if I was to add the other fan to the heatsink it would want to carry on in the same direction as the case as a whole i.e. pulling air from the back into the heatsink? Then swapping the one in the picture the other way round?

Or is it ok to have both fans of the heatsink pushing into the heatink from both sides?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Cheers

Doesn't look like you have many options lol.. Force negative pressure with both fans blowing out of the case, with your cpu fan pushing and the other case fane pulling.. will force your case to pull in cool air from any other opening(cracks and what have you). That's all I can think of for your setup.

Thanks, Im definitely going to keep the 120 case fans as they are - taking cold air from the back through to the front.

It's just the heatsink fans when I have two that I'm more confused about.
