is cooler master hyper 212+ compatible with fx 8350

I'm really confused. I already bought this cooler and the fx 8350. On the box of the hyper 212+, it says it is compatible with am2, am2+, and am3 (NOT AM3+). On the website, it says its compatible with am3+, but it doesn't say fx series in supported cpu's. PLEASE HELP!

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't sure

Thank you so much! I was so scared that I chose the wrong cooler (this is my first build)

The current webpage doesn't list the FX, but the 212 EVO does.

It will fit and it will work, but I wouldn't aggressively overclock with it. The EVO would be my choice for that.

Is there that much of a difference between the two? A benchmark I read showed differences of only 1-3 degrees.
  5. The performance of the 2 is almost identical.
