i7 2600 high temp?

I just noticed that the temperature of my cpu is high about 80c-90c when I play a game. Is it hot because I don't have a gpu? Or do I need to buy a new cpu cooler? Thanks in advance :)

it reaches 90c whenever I start a game I haven't even started playing yet so I'm getting worried. I think the cooler is mounted properly but two pins are broken. I'm planning on buying a new cpu cooler looking at coolermaster's gamma archer right now.

then should I buy a new cooler? Should I change the thermal paste when buying a new cooler?
EDIT: Right now the temp of my cpu is around 36-44c is that temp okay for browsing the internet? When I am using applications the temp becomes 50-60c.
