Im not 100% sure if its a RPG since it was years ago and on a old 98/XP Adventure, RPG.
Viewpoint
Horizontal, Vertical not to sure it was a game where you had a background that was fixed and your char walks around on it and you see.
General dates
I just remember playing it on a 98/XP OS so
Commercial status
Game could have been part of a collection disk thingie

Okey now into the deep things: The game had to do something with vampires im not 100% sure anymore but if i remember right you where at the start of the game a human and got bitten in your first battle. other thing is you could transform i think into monsters like bats or so again not 100% sure just saw the other npc transform. the only way to save the gamestate is to suck someones blood and have the luck of geting an item which allows you to save your progress. Now again im not sure if there are other ways but this one was one. There was 1 zones in the map which was a dessert and walking around in it would wound you since you are a vampire and walking in the sun. hope that this could help if I rememer more ill add it.
