i got a Dell Vostro 200 (mini Tower) Bios 1.0.13 4GB RAM,E2200 Core 2 Duo (2.20Ghz Stock) (MotherBoard G33M02) Windows 7 64Bit Ultimate
anyways is there any Bios i can upgrade/install in order to Be able to Overclock my CPU to atleast 2.75Ghz,2.80Ghz,3.0Ghz?????

Or can someone recommend a Software Program that will work preferably free
I have already tried the following programs but no dice-----> Intel Desktop Control Center (not compatible),CPU Tweaker 1.5(not Compatible),Memset (not sure how to use and really what is it for???),

My plan was to spend money on the Q9650 but since i can only upgrade to 4GB of Ram (which i have already done) It is not worth spending the money unless the I could Run atleast 8GB of RAM or more.

Most every Dell I've heard of does not let you overclock. I have never heard of BIOS files for dells that allow overclocking, but I won't say they don't exist. I did read an article on the particular Foxconn board that this PC uses, and it does not allow the Dell to use the generic Foxconn BIOS (the foxconn BIOS supports some overclocking).

I have never had any luck overclocking budget boards with software programs, but maybe I suck.

As to the q9650 solution: I really have to question why you want to do this. At what cost can the chip be had? Have you confirmed the CPU will work in the existing board? I would be worried that the wattage draw may be more than can be asked of the weak sauce PSU included in your machine.

My advice: If you have insufficient funds and can't afford a modern CPU, motherboard, and DDR3 ram, there are only minimal gains to be had overclocking either a e2200 or a q9650. Upgrading to a new motherboard to support a socket 775 chip is a waste. Upgrading to a 4 generation old CPU q9650 is also a waste unless it is <$100 and is confirmed to work on your board.
