SO iv been looking at 2 dif builds for the most part

1.http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ForteEXE/saved/1JK6

2.http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ForteEXE/saved/1JKF

MY budget is as close to 850 after rebates as i can get i still need to buy a monitor internet security skyrim for pc and a mouse a key bored too.

I want my pc to last 3-5 years and would like to play game son high settings on a 1080p resolution. The difference between he builds after including a heatsink a good Z77 mobo and the higher cpu cost is like 100-150 bucks and buy paying that id have to get a lower gpu then in a non oc build.

Now is ocing REALLY that big of a deal??? will having the 3470 build 3 years from now make it impossible for me to play games??? (Other then a possible upgrading the gpu which would be easy saving 100-150 bucks from getting a non oc system)

I dont wana waste money paying to be able to oc if its just a waste of money in the long run... im not looking for 100+fps's from what i read on a 1080p you can visual see anymore then 60fps any how and i have NO IDEA HOW TO OC im scared i could mes sup the cpu or shorten my pcs lifespan and i realy dont wana do that

What would yall recommend?

being able to OC is more of an enthusiast Item. With the ability to OC it can easily gain another year or more out of an older CPU. the GPU is a bit different on the OC. Yes it will give some performance benefits but an OCed GPU will not get you as far as a OCed CPU will in terms of years.

Yes, nowadays its very easy to do and you can get a lot of performance from it. The non K chips are still fast though. I always say buy the fastest parts you can afford. There is always something that's a bit more dough. I would pick option one as it has a faster gpu which will help in games and that cpu is fast enough for any game anyway. BUT, I love to overclock, so I change my mind to option two, lol!

Given the 2 links iv posted what you recommend having the ability to oc with lower end gpu or non ocing with high up good? im talking between either a 3470 or a 3570k? My only target is playable games on high settings im not looking for insane triple digit fps just dont want to lag/ freeze/ crash or have a unplayable game want it smooth and stable

Thanks alot :) the 3470 is under my 1200 limit afte ri add in the monitor mouse keybored and internet security were the 3570k is over my limit so between the 3470 and the 3570k id def go with the 3470 then that build is like 119 dollars cheaper after i would buy a heat sink and its not worth it to me if OCing isint important.

What would you reckomend between the 3470 and the fx8350? there both about the same price and under my price limit of 1200 and i could still oc the amd processor. somthing like this?

Yea thats mainly all im worried about is being able to play the games i wana play still 3-4 years from now. the 3470 build is 70 under my total budget were the 3570k is like 50 over it so if the oving isint needed i dont wana waste the extta 100+ dollars.

What do you think of this build tho its my other budget build a fx 8350 build its right at my budget still being cheaper then the 3570k but still allowing me to oc later if i want. I hear that the 3570k beats the 8350 all over but what about the 3470? whats better between in and the 8350?
