Is this a good sub $700 gaming PC for a complete beginner to build?

After the disaster of the Xbox One reveal, I am a console gamer looking to jump ship to the PC. I'm well aware that building your own PC can save you a ton of money, so I've been looking into that. The problem is, I know absolutely nothing about building PCs, or PCs in general, and have a spending limit of 700$. I had the help of a few people, however, and came up with this build:

Would this PC be easy for a complete beginner to build and would it suit my needs? I need this TV basically for gaming only, and I want to be able to run basically anything, but not necessarily on high. I will also have this PC hooked up to a 32" LED TV rather than a standard monitor.
Thanks for your time, and any pointers on fixing up this build or building a PC for a first timer would be more than appreciated! Also, if you can think of a better build (I'm in Canada for reference) for around the same price range that won't mess with a beginner's mind, that would be awesome!

Flaws with your build:
1. Your build does not include a video card(GPU). You will need a GPU to game effectively.
2. You have chosen a CPU that is not geared for gaming.

Here is a cpu to think about:(go Intel)
Intel Core i5-3470 Ivy Bridge 3.2GHz (3.6GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 $199

Here is a few MOBO choices:
GIGABYTE GA-Z77-HD4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 $119

MSI Z77A-G45 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 #129
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130645

Here are some GPU choices:

ZOTAC ZT-60901-10M GeForce GTX 660 2GB $199
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500270

ASUS HD7850-DC2-2GD5-V2 Radeon HD 7850 2GB $199
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121651

That is a little above your budget but you wont be sorry. You can play pretty much any game on high with no problems. Also, you can save a little money and use the stock CPU cooler.

Also, watch this video on how to build it will help you.

Yea that looks great and as Telos said go for the 7870 xt. If you don't plan on storing all your games and never deleting them, 500gb should be fine... 1tb isn't that much more, however....

Also Windows 7 is better for gaming (and in my personal preference better) so I'd go with that over windows 8.

Actually, Win 8 has slightly better performance. Also, 8.1 will bring back the start button.
