I was planning to buy a system, the main confusion is should i go for a normal mobo or mobo with sli feature because they cost a 100 bucks extra? Currently i plan to have an i5 3470 processor and install Nvidea GTX 660 sc.

LOL. SLI motherboards are normal motherboards, too.
No, you don't have to get an SLI or CF or SLI/CF motherboard if you don't ever plan on adding a 2nd card. But if you see a board you like, don't hesitate just because it has a 2nd PCIe x16 slot. And if you do plan on someday using a 2nd card, be sure to get a board with X8, X8 PCie or better. Stay away from X16, X4 boards unless you only plan on using one card. The X4 slot will drag down performance when using 2 cards.
