I've 4gb ddr3 1333 ram (transcend JM1333KLN-4G) and MOBO is msi G41M-P26,
in manufacturer site they've mentioned like this
"- Supports two DIMM DDR3 800/1066/1333*(OC) DRAM",
but machine is not working/or not supporting, ram is working on other system.
if i insert "4gb ddr3 1333 ram transcend " system will be in running mode but on display nothing will be there except orange color LED light blinking(in monitor on/off switch) ...

and what does this mean "1333*(oc)...

please help

Hello,:hello:

1333* (OC); OC means Overclock /OC'd overclocked.

The memory which you have is compatible. Remove any installed memory and install one 4GB module (1333MHz) in the first slot (slot closest to the processor) and see if your system boots. Also try manually down clocking the memory in the BIOS to 1066MHz. If the answer is "no" then Reset your CMOS and update the BIOS to the latest version (refer your manual to reset the CMOS) and then install the memory.
Hope it works. Let me know how it works out. Good luck. Adios.:)

You need the FSB running at leas t at 1333 to run the sticks at 1333, which is an OC (overclock), will prob need to add voltage to the NB and vCore also, not sure what CPU you are running. I'd start with a single stick, go into BIOS set the FSB to 333/1333, reboot and see what happens, then add a stick at a time, if it won't boot, pull a stick, raise NB voltage + 0.06 and try again

sorry,i didn't mention before this..i.e

I've 2gb 1333ghz it was working fine with same board but it was not taking 4gb ram.once i upgraded the bios to new version(as you said). its taking 4gb ram but not 2gb(means if i put 6gb in the machine its not taking and also if i put only 2gb also its not working) only 4gb it ll take..and 'm using windows 7 64bit os,MOBO support upto 8gb,

To run both together (if they will run will take playing with the voltages DRAM, NB and probably with tRFC and maybe a few other advance timings) if you can post up voltages with jsut the 4 GB stick and the timings (both base and advanced) I might be able to get them to play
