So i built this rig (My first one so i'm assuming most of these problems are due to my screw ups) about two months ago using a mix of hardware from my old rig and hardware i've ordered from Newegg with this rig.

My Setup is:
CPU - I5-3570k non OC
RAM - Corsair 8gb (2x4gb) DDR3
GPU - ATI HD6870 1GB DDR5
SSD - Intel 180gb 330 Series Maple Crest
HDD - Seagate Barracuda ST1000 1TB 7200 RPM
PSU - Corsair HX750
MoBo - Asrock Z77 Extreme 4

etc etc

Anyway my various problems are sometimes the system won't boot, flashing an A2 Error which is IDE Detect which i remedy by unplugging the Graphics cards power supply and just boot from the onboard Intel Graphics and then it goes back to normal for a little bit. When it does this my GPU's fan turns to 100% (really loud) I've tried by putting the graphics card in both PCI-E slots but it gets the same errors. Sometimes the system won't even recognize it.

My other problem is that sometimes it doesn't boot and flashes a 55 Error which is memory not installed to which i reseat the RAM and it works.

Now i've read other threads on here regarding the same problems but the fixes just don't cut it. Should i replace my Graphics card and RAM with new modules since they were the parts i imported from my old rig of 3 years? Or is it the Motherboard at fault? Any help is appreciated, thanks! Also I've had various issues with ATI Drivers and i've ran Driver Sweeper which seems to have helped the issue a little bit but not by much!

Yeah the RAM's faulty so i have to buy new modules thanks!

However cleaning the graphics card did nothing :( Is there any particular slot i should have it in?

Should matter which PCIE port you use, as both are PCIE 3.0 x16 ports, so same speed.

try and disable the iGPU (intergrated GPU) in the UEFI/Bios (as previously stated by the mod)
