Psu and motherboard testing.

So can I test to see if my motherboard is working without a CPU? It's plugged in to the psu already but that's it. I want to see if my fans will turn on but no lights are even flashing on the motherboard?

Without A CPU and ram and a video card you won't get a good post.
Most mb won't do anything without a CPU.

Without a CPU a mb is brain dead....if it starts moving it looking for fresh brains....
