will the components in my pc be better than the xbox one and ps4

i spent $1200 on a pc with a radeon 7870 and an i5-3570k. the xbox one and ps4 look pretty spectacular, and im wondering if i should sell my pc for one of them

It's hard to say you'll beat them since the Ps4 is a chip stacking architecture that is very fast, also games are optimized far more.

I would say you will be around the same for a year or two, then behind once they optimize well and your hardware drivers age.

No way, that is a very solid PC and can always be upgraded, it will run new games fine for at least another full year.

Save up 399 and buy a PS4 between now and that year or upgrade GPU and you're set my friend.
